A powerful indictment of the American healthcare industry as well as a riveting human drama, Dallas Buyers Club sucks you into the world of rather despicable man whose desire to live and capitalist impulses actually allow him to develop and expand as a person. Amazing performances, a heartbreaking and uplifting storyline, and superb direction make this a film that tackles the AIDS epidemic, homophobia, and the American healthcare crisis in novel, insightful, and intelligent ways.
