Bette Midler hasn't wowed anyone. She's nothing more than a jerk who thinks she's God.

Ok...one of the few movies that made me cry a little. The movie is so plain...but it does the mother-daughter relationship thing well. Thumbs up indeed!

This is a personal cult favorite for me. I often quote one liners from this movie in my everyday life. 'Ya know I love ya Ed, but ya can't come in here drunk on Christmas Eve.'

My mom and I love this movie. She could relate to stella as a single mother wanting her child to have the best. and now i can relate too
