80s perfection. This movies got it all. "Take it easy" "Up yours"

Love this movie, it has some of my favorite actors, and has so much to say about our society and is a fabulous metaphor for humanity at large. Although it's 24 years old- it's just as strong today as it was when it was released- go rent it it's wonderful.

A great sci-fi romance film. Jeff Bridges and Karen Allen are superb in this great film by John Carpenter. A widow ancounters an alien who takes the form of her deceased husband and go all the way to Arizona for Starman to get picked up by a ship. Charles Martin Smith and Richard Jaekel also are awesome in this film.

My favorite John Carpenter film simply because it has more heart than all his other films combined. I thought Jeff Bridges was cool after TRON. After this movie, I thought he was God. Always nice to see Karen Allen too. Charlie Martin Smith puts in a great supporting performance as well. Jack Nitzche's score grinds on you after a while though.
