This is one of my absolute favourite films of all time, possibly my favourite. I could watch it again and again but this is the first time I've watched it in several years. The relationship between the boys is amazingly believable and touching and the cussing is second to none! Such an adventure - if you haven't seen it, you must!

Best film of 1986. This coming of age movie is the best, the funniest, and most dramatic I've ever seen. A story of four friends on a journey to find a body, and do a lot more than that. They learn how to bond and stay together, and not take things for granted or for their own credit, and realize they do want they want to do with their lives. A well written story of comedy, drama, tragedy, heart, humor, and importance of friends, family, and self. Best character development and bond I've ever seen, very funny and dramatic, along with good acting from all the cast members, cool and realistic settings, and tragic memories of Gordon's life as a kid and adult make this a timeless classic. The guys change from jerks to nice guys, and do make an adventure like that fun, life changing, and dangerous. A movie worth seeing for all audiences.

I absolutly loved it. The actors made the whole thing look real. It's a sad story too...

Stand by Me still stands as one of the best coming-of-age films of all-time, filled with friendship and adventure.

Nothing in my childhood was as transformative as the journey these boys took. Very little in my childhood was as transformative as watching this movie.
