A unique, special, and definitely obscure superhero movie. This was straight to DVD, but as a huge fan of Michael Rapaport, I gave it a shot and it was totally worth my time. Funny, dramatic, entertaining, and very very trippy, a wonderful under appreciated and not very well known movie. At times very hard to watch, at times unrealistically enjoyable. I highly recommend this film to anyone.

This film was different. It was interesting seeing the cuts between his vision of reality and everyone elses. While the ending was strangly unsatifying, I did enjoy the majority of this film. The film only provided me with a few chuckles instead of it being "Hilarous" as the box said. I enjoyed as more of a drama than a comedy. I liked what it said about being "special", how some people are more important than others, and how some will be remembered more than others. I hope I see more films like this in the future.

Special is the story of Les a lonley metermaid who gets involved in a drug study program and tests a new medication. Strange side effects cause Les to believe he has super powers and his new calling in life is to become a superhero.I loved this movie! Michael Rapaport was perfect as Les,his medicated spiral into the world of crime fighting was priceless. All the comic book elements are in place for this action hero adventure into dementia.I really don't want to say to much and give anything away.I highly recomend this film,Les will make you believe in superheros!

Unique and different from anything I have seen. Original plot and the acting is pretty good. The reason I like it so much are due to some scenes that are incredibly heart-wrenching. Great movie!

Finally, what seems to be an original story. Too bad it could only muster enough to be an indie film, but maybe that's all the better. You won't get story like this in blockbusters.
