Actually not as bad as I remember. It's pretty cheesy, but Peter Strauss, Molly Ringwald and Ernie Hudson all give affable performances and no one seems to take this 3D film all that seriously. And Michael Ironside does his usual over-the-top good job as the bizarre villain of the film. Good corny sci-fi fun from the 80s.

As a 7 year old i used to watch this again and again on VHS, and after 20 years i still enjoyed it ! sure it's cheesy as hell with fall apart sets and Peter Strauss is just a Han Solo wanna-be, and a young Molly Ringwald whinges her way through the flick. Michael Ironside's "Overdog" still is a creepy.

The rose-tinted spectacles are glued to my face for this one and its spirit of adventure.
