Rod Steiger does what he can to anchor this slightly dreary and depressing film version of Ray Bradbury's The Illustrated Man.

Stuck at Glastonbury this year,I to needed shelter from the continuous rain,and was reminded of one of the weird tales in this film,was I going to go mad,or deaf! Watch this and youll see my point.One of Steigers best films.

Book was awesome... Jerry Goldsmith's score was great... but those where the only good points of this slow paced and poorly executed film.

Decent movie for the time. Acting was pretty good, with Rod Steiger as the main character. I have to keep telling myself that tattoos were taboo back then and that this man let himself become an outcast for the woman he loved. Oddly homoerotic for some reason though lol. Nice mix of Ray Bradbury stories, makes me want to find his old TV series.

A great performance by Rod Steiger. An interesting and imaginative group of stories that make up the film. I only wish there was more. It ends way too soon and I understand that the movie is already 103 minutes but this might have done better as a show with more of Bradbury's tales of the horrors of the future. I can't wait to see what Zack Snyder will do with the remake in 2010.
