A wonderfully intersectional film, featuring love and friendship against the backdrop of WWII and the languid air of the South.

Loved the movie and the development of the characters. This movie offers a glimpse into the early 4o's and a different kind of racial prejudice. Well played by the actors.

Greenwald and cinematographer Wolfgang Held linger on the idyllic beauty of the salt marsh and trees draped with Spanish moss, using the vivid cerulean of native blue crabs to link her characters.

I really enjoyed this movie! I enjoyed getting to know the characters, the setting, their story. What a great way to spend an hour and a half. A gem of a film among a lot of asinine drivel found around!
