Soldier Blue (1970)

After a cavalry group is massacred by the Cheyenne, only two survivors remain: Honus, a naive private devoted to his duty, and Cresta, a young woman who had lived with the Cheyenne two years and whose sympathies lie more with them than with the US government. Together, they must try to reach the cavalry's main base camp. As they travel onward, Honus is torn between his growing affection for Cresta.

i saw this in 70's its imposible to get it totally uncut i rember the body dismembering scenes and they are still cut in so called uncut versions on dvd

Just watched the uncut version of this 1970 film. It mostly drags between the start and the conclusion, but I found it watchable. The massacre at the end was highly intense... even by today's standards. Candice Bergen turns in a decent performance... imo.

L'intelligence de la construction du film est totalement delirante car les differents gags qui ponctuent le film renforce d'autant plus la "magnifique" et spectaculaire fin de ce somptueux western. Un veritable choc. A VOIR.

this movie is very touching & extremely violent(not for the squeemish, by any means) it's very hard to even try to imagine what native people had to endure. this is an amazing movie , candice bergen is wonderful. buffy saint- marie sings soldier blue, she's one of my favorite artists, ever! a very well depicted story.
