Just saw the premiere showing of this movie in Logansport Indiana. It was excellent. The acting was great and tbe writing was wonderful. Very faithful to the novel. Ignore the curmudgeon critics who are critical of anything that isn't violent or sexual. This is a warm and realistic picture of humanity and a child that dreams of discovering her family roots.

Dysfunctional-family mysteries are unearthed in this delicately rendered but rather pallid adaptation of a novel.

Very emotional film, one of the best I have seen for a while.

The strong cast, including John Heard, Dash Mihok, Jacinda Barrett and Cloris Leachman, sells the warm, at times cloying material with earnest conviction.

"So B. It" aims for an inclusive message. But Mama's artificiality makes it hard to buy the movie's themes of acceptance.
