This was supposed to be a made for TV movie back in the 70's so you know there won't be much gore, so when the closing credits came on I wasn't that disappointed. The plot of the movie is an angry sasquatch preys on skiers at a local resort and its up to a patrol team leader, Olympic skater and wise sheriff (played by Clint Walker of Dirty Dozen fame) to stop it. Most of the plot wasn't too bad and the fact that you can't see the face of the monster actually keeps the suspense and leaves it to the imagination. The only negatives were it dragged out due to all the skiing going on in between the plots and the murders. I give this movie 2 out of 5 because it was average, not too bad not too good. Clint Walker has seen better days

Too much 'snow' and not enough 'beast' (but just the right amount of Bo Svenson).

i love this movie, made for tv it was pretty scary in places obviously low budget, but the way movies were shot in the seventies and eightys just had a great feel to them.i would like this to be brought out on dvd with the deleted scenes put back into it,for example a man falls from the ski lift and is grabbed by the beast.all in all a good film, and is'nt it about time they released all the soundtracks from movies and tv movies that you cant seem to get your hands on,like condorman and the score to return of the living dead, hopefully one day.

A Yeti in the woods threatens a ski town's winter carnival. Town officials express concern that it could hurt tourism but the winter carnival continues despite four deaths at the hands of the Yeti. Features great Yeti sound effects.

eh...it's alright. it's not that good....but it's not absolutely terrible, either. some of the stuff was dumb...like how that vehicle got logs in i when the logs tipped it over from a different side...and how the snowbeast died...overall, this movie is just an abominable snowman film...except not as good as you'd probably want it to be.
