Inquisitive journalist Grace Collier is horrified when she witnesses her neighbor, fashion model Danielle Breton, violently murder a man. Panicking, she calls the police. But when the detective arrives at the scene and finds nothing amiss, Grace is forced to take matters into her own hands. Her first move is to recruit private investigator Joseph Larch, who helps her to uncover a secret about Danielle's past that has them both seeing double.

This is so underrated! I love it. De Palma mirrors Hitchcock, and Bernard Hermann's chilling score will linger even after the film is over... Kidder is both sexy and creepy simultaneously.

Honestly this is one of Brian De Palam's best films. A Dark twisted thriller that is way too good to get remade. Brian DePalma has put together a warped, exciting foray into body horror. Margot Kidder gives a pretty convnincing performance as well as its supporting cast.

Homage to Hitchcock from DePalma. The story is a little weak and somewhat off the wall but his direction and his ability to create suspense and mystery leaves the viewer on the edge of their seat. The scene where the body is been disposed off while the cops are about to call to the apartment is magnificent.
