Inquisitive journalist Grace Collier is horrified when she witnesses her neighbor, fashion model Danielle Breton, violently murder a man. Panicking, she calls the police. But when the detective arrives at the scene and finds nothing amiss, Grace is forced to take matters into her own hands. Her first move is to recruit private investigator Joseph Larch, who helps her to uncover a secret about Danielle's past that has them both seeing double.

A straight up homage to Hitchock, "Sisters" from Brian DePalma, never forgets its influence. However, to come out in the early 70's, when most American films were personal and raw, this one stands out as basically escapist. "Sisters" proves that thrillers made in the old Hollywood style can still be effective. That's where the genius is in this film. Brian DePalma doesn't just reference Hitchcock, but he uses that style to create something unique and original and brilliantly entertaining.

This hypnotic 70s DePalma thriller contains lots of eerie images and Hitchcockian themes. A quick and interesting little horror film has a lot of great moments.

Yes it rips off Hitchcock, but it manages to still be an interesting movie despite the few weird leaps it takes in places. Stylish and worth watching.
