Convincing portrait/collage of a psychopath with a slow pace, Simon Killer is beautifully filmed and has a career best performance from a nuanced Brady Corbet. An excellent soundtrack and skewed visual style add to the strangely addictive quality the film. One if a kind, and not for everyone.

Simon Killer utilizes music better than any other movie I've seen at Sundance, loud and bombastic, half the time we hear sounds as filtered through Simon's iPod earbuds.

Although Brady Corbet is a compelling actor and succeeds at times in capturing an almost boyish charm, he's playing a nasty, unappealing and unredemptive character.

Tesko je kategorizirati ili jednostavno opisati ovako toksicnu studiju lika. Krvna slika filma granici sa hororom jer razina socipoatskog raspadanja nakon prvotne simpaticnosti u ovom cudovistu na momente zastrasuje, ali vise se radi o nelagodi izmedju redova nego eksplicitnom nasilju. Uvijek jako volim efektno koristenje glazbe u filmovima, a sarolika selekcija i igranje dinamikom ovdje je kao poseban kontraefekt paklu. Gluma, rezija, glazba i skrivena dubina, sve je tu, ali mozda da jednostavno ukradem omiljenu recenicu Simona kada "oci u oci" pregovara sa golim venerinim brezuljkom: "Can I just look at you?"
