Beautiful exploration of the assumptions of conceptual universality. The clash between the personal and the collective semiotics of religion across cultures. Beautiful photography, especially the nod to Caravaggio in one of the night burial scenes by the Ocean. Inspiring!

Whether you're religious or not, this film gets you emotionally and psychologically. The immense passion displayed by people in the film for Christianity is heartbreaking. Great performances from the whole cast, but Garfield is certainly the top tier.
