Beautifully shot: a very challenging film. I was rendered completely silent by the end. One of those films where you stay and watch the credits to the end because it has been so affecting. I suspect it is a lot harder to watch for Christians and clergy than for non believers - but I may be wrong. It's not as uplifting as The Mission (if you've seen that then you'll know how tough this film is).

This movie shocked me to death. I do not think I can ever pray the same again. Please please see this movie.. You will not be disappointed. The cons are all "it is to bloody or to shocking" well this movie would not be the movie it is without its gore.

Whether you're religious or not, this film gets you emotionally and psychologically. The immense passion displayed by people in the film for Christianity is heartbreaking. Great performances from the whole cast, but Garfield is certainly the top tier.
