Not too bad for an independent horror flick. Gory in bits, and some nice ladies.

I loved Shredder. It was cheep and cheesey but whats funnier than a crappy horror movie? Expecially if its about snowboarding.

Take 80s-esque horror and combine it with Out Cold, and thats kind of what you have here. A group of friends go snowboarding at a shutdown resort that has been abandoned for years (or has it...). Some cool snowboarding scenes, and decent horror parts make it worth the watch. The story isn't up to par with many newer horror/thriller flicks, but its good enough that it doesn't suck to watch.

While the story is standard slasher stuff, not treading any new ground (outside of it being about snowboarders and skiiers), there is still some enjoyment to be had with Shredder... even if only in minutia. The one thing that truly disappointed me about the film was just how lame the kills were. There's a bit of gore but for the most part, if you even see the kill, it's boring an unimaginative. One thing Shredder does have going for it is that you can at least add it to your Christmas movie list as it does take place during the holidays... even if they don't really come out and advertise it.
