Seven Swords (2005)

In the middle of the 17th century, the Manchus conquered China and founded the Ching dynasty. Due to widespread uprisings against the new rulers, the study and practice of traditional martial arts is forbidden and punishable by death. At first I thought that this was just a remake of Seven Samurai, but this is quite different. It becomes slow in parts, but has some creativeness in the different swords and the final fight scene is one of the best sword fights ever.

Didn't think it would be a long film being its an action flick! Good story, some area in the film are bit overdone! I did like the beginning of the film. the contrast to the living and dead. I was surprised on the conversation between green pearl and the main swordsman. It was a shocker for me, I didn't know that was going to played the part into the movie! OHHH it was great! Oh I want to see this in a longer soap for the series..hmmm..I wonder if HK is going to make that or not, i think it would be a hit!!
