Her setups here are so witless and pedestrian that there's no imagination to the crude slapstick punchlines; we're just watching a bland jester pantomime sensory overload.

Very good, the 1st movie that could bring so strong emotions. I really felt sorry for that poor guy .Although I vomitted twice ;)

Big laughs are few and far between in this 1998 movie, which is more successful as motivational anecdote than as comedy.

First of all...Erik really wanted me to see this movie and I said alrighty...granted he surprised me when we were gonna see it..but anyways. Overall this is a GOOD movie. There are scenes of torture that really get ya to react. I got all sorts of squeamish and such when viewing it. The storyline itself was unique in the sense of the 'bad guys' and how they got to Elliot (Jason Behr). As the story progresses so does the understanding as to why whats being done to Elliot is happening. The sad part about this movie is the topics of humanity that it touches upon...whether it be religion, money, US control on other nations, how much can one endure, how much would one pay to see one suffer, and what truly makes an individual. I do recommend this movie...I also recommend watching a comedy or something light afterwards!
