Despite the low budget production, the movie is very good. It shows by an eye witness, the courage, the passion, the suffer, the human Abe Lincoln. Its a historical masterpiece, and if you want to learn more about the great americanDespite the low budget production, the movie is very good. I have seen Lincoln by Spielberg and Saving Lincoln by Litvak and found the Litvak movie a great deal more emotionally affecting. It is extremely creative in adapting the live action to original photographs rather than the reverse. It is more like a play with sensational sets and effects than a movie with limited sets. This kind of movie will hopefully be the future of the industry. If you can entertain, move and enlighten an audience for an hour and a half for under a million dollars and accomplish no more at over 100 million dollars then which is better entertainment or for that matter art? The professional critics are living in the past. See this movie.

This movie tells us a story that is not told in the other Lincoln movies that are out today. It brought out some interesting points that were new info and did it in an innovative way.

A touching and accurate portrayal of the trials Mr. Lincoln's friend and self appointed body guard went through to keep our president alive and safe. I recommend this movie to all my friends that are deeply into an accurate and in depth knowledge of American History and the Civil War period.
