I've seen it when I was little, like it but doesn't understand it. Now watch it again, the feeling is completely changed. The love is so intense, and the comparison between the ghost and the modern couple just shown how time changed the meaning of love. It saddens me because Leslie and Anita are both gone. Mesmerising and bitter, but so very good. The golden era of HK movies.

Saw this when it first came out in 1987 and loved the whole look and era of the film. But 21 years on and after the likes of "In the Mood" and "Lust Caution", it looks dated. Still, the story is good and prompts questions.

My favourite Chinese film depicting the best of old chinese customs and beauty. An intricate love story of a ghost searching for her lover from the 1930s in Cantonese with subtitles.
