Rouge (1987)

A true HK classic directed by the legendary Stanley Kwan with an amazing script. Pity that you can't find any local film of such high quality nowadays.

This is a visually appealing Hong Kong ghost story film, that is highly stylized, told from the perspective of a courtesan, Anita Mui (Fleur).

My favourite Chinese film depicting the best of old chinese customs and beauty. An intricate love story of a ghost searching for her lover from the 1930s in Cantonese with subtitles.
