Room on the Broom (2012)

Animated film based on the wonderful children's picture book written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler. The story of a kind witch who invites a surprising collection of animals to join her on her broom, much to the frustration of her cat. wonderful children's animated movie that is entertaining and teaches an important lesson about acceptance and how to get along

This is a lesser read Donaldson book in our house but as a family we all really enjoyed this screen adaptation. It's got some great silent humour gags and it's touching at the end. My 4 year old was talking about it for a few days afterwards as well. Lovely stuff.

From Magic Light Pictures, which brought you the Oscar nominated animated shorts, The Gruffalo and The Gruffalo's Child in the past few years. The British company adapts another children's book with a celebrity cast. The characters and rhyming story are amusing.
