The debate over the evolution of the movies' depiction of native peoples is not always on the mark.

There are gaps here and there, but it provides a fascinating introduction to a corner of film history that has gotten too little attention.

An excellent documentary about the stereotypes of First Nations persons in films, starting from the silent era. It was educational and entertaining at the same time.

But in amongst this collection of white actors in red face, and Sicilians pretending to be native elders, something rather remarkable emerges, the means of resistance and telling your own stories endures.

Insightful Documentary on Native Americans viewed through the Cinema though the Ages. I recommend.
