Radioactive Dreams (1986)

After an atomic war Phillip Hammer and Marlowe Chandler have spent 15 years on their own in an bunker, stuffed with junk from the 40s and old detective novels. Now, 19 years old, they leave their shelter to find a world full of mutants, freaks and cannibals. They become famous detectives in the struggle for the two keys that could fire the last nuclear weapon.

Where to start with this one? It's a post-apocalyptic, sci-fi, action, comedy and musical. On a very low-budget! Fascinating in it's constant energy and pace (not to mention bubbly 80's soundtrack) But blissfully incoherent as well with bizarre supporting characters, a must for those who love b-movies! Others Beware!

new wave 80s film noir starring John Stockwell (Christine,My Science Project) and Michael(american ninja) Dudikoff..perhaps this film will become more enjoyable with another viewing but i found it dry as hell ..considering it had cannibals and toxic waste which usually makes a cheesy flick like this more fun

One of my few non-DVD highlights. A post-apocalyptic detective yarn. This introduced me to the writer Raymond Chandler still amazes me. It's not brilliant art, but it's a music based end of the world fun and always leaves a smile.

I saw this movie a long time ago and it was strange then as I'm sure it is strange now. It was full of action and it has that total 80s vibe. Not the best but not the worst.
