Thanks to the style of filming, it was almost like I was there. Hathaway proves she is not just a pretty face but also a talented actress. The rehearsal dinner scene, I was uncomfortable & nervous, on the edge of my seat, waiting for a total meltdown. The dishwasher scene was totally unpredictable and after seeing the film last night, I'll be going to see it again tomorrow and maybe at the end of the week.

This film is proof that Tunde Adibimpe is the most charming man ever. And Anne Hathaway deserved that oscar. One of my favorite movies.

While Rachel Getting Married offers a simple premise, the story and characters are rich with depth. Johnathan Demme does a great job directing and Anne Hathaway's performance is nothing short of brilliant, managing to steal every scene she appears in. Considering the serious subject material, I was not expecting to like it as much as I did, but it won me over and stands as one of the best films of 2008.

Just a stunning movie. Hathaway was nothing short of brilliant and if I didn't believe it was Winslet's year, she could be an Oscar winner on Sunday. The only real problem is that there wasn't really enough plot to fill the length of the movie and you can tell that they stretched things a bit (ie the wedding scene).
