While vacationing a couple of guys and their wives stumble upon a satanic ritual being performed in an off the road spot in Texas. This one was pretty darned good. It never got too over the top, so the secret society thing played really well and was genuinely creepy. Peter Fonda and Warren Oats did a great job of being reluctant heroes. That poster looks like shit, don't believe it.

This is a very good movie. It is also based on a true story. If I am not mistaken, similar events happened to my friend Robin Lepine years ago... they based the movie off of his story.

I had my dad buy this DVD for me on a whim when I saw it for $9.99 at Circuit City. I actually really like it so I'm glad.

"Race With the Devil" is not a classic movie perhaps, but a decent little slow budget satanic thriller from the 70's with some very tense moments and a few spectacular car chases.
