After his father, an assassin, is brutally murdered, Nick Gant vows revenge on Division, the covert government agency that dabbles in psychic warfare and experimental drugs. Hiding in Hong Kong's underworld, Nick assembles a band of rogue psychics dedicated to destroying Division. Together with Cassie, a teenage clairvoyant, Nick goes in search of a missing girl and a stolen suitcase that could be the key to accomplishing their mutual goal.

Superhero fans will likely be into Push just for the cool-factor of watching embattled heroes and villains in tense war of wits, wills, and skills. That broader audience is less likely to come along for the ride.

How can a film about people with enviable abilities such as telekinesis and future telling be so dull? This was the question circling around my head whilst watching this film.

critics really won't give it a chance, it's NOT as bad as the scores suggest considering there is TRUE garbage out there that should be receiving these scores. it was entertaining and i was glad it didn't have a cliched story, as it's hard to find a superhero movie that's not about saving the world. while it's not a very solid film, it has all the potential in the world to make a mind-blowing sequel. the protagonists were likable and charming, and the story isn't about saving a city, but much smaller and personal. this film needs more support.

The critics for this movie do it grave injustice only showing how shallow and formula Hollywood has become in order for an action movie to become successful. Something that has to be appreciated in this movie is that it blends not only classic action flick sequences and story lines, but it also adds a very in depth plot twist that comes together very well at the end. To simply it for some of you, it means this movie requires you to "think".

Don't let the critics fool you on this one. Remember, they are paid to give their opinion and most of them probably didn't want to see Push and dislike this entire genre. That said, Push was hella rad. Setting the whole thing in Hong Kong was a genius stroke that allowed for a more urgent and almost claustrophobic feel, which is in line with the plight of the central characters. The plot is clearly deravitive of X2 or Volume 4/Fugitives of Heroes, but that's what makes this movie so great. We all want (a) realistic bad guy(s) who is/are really BAD and good guys who are in serious peril and may or may not survive and Push delivers on this premise. If you pay attention and understand what each of the character's powers are and how they can be manifested in different situations, the third act will be anything but confusing, right down the mult-interpretive ending. Since the screen fades to black, what actually does happen in that final scene? Hopefully this will kill at the box office and franchise will be born.
