Pure Luck (1991)

The daughter of a wealthy businessman has disappeared in Mexico, and all the efforts to find her have been unsuccessful. A psychologist, knowing that the girl has an ultra bad luck, persuades her father to send to Mexico one of his employees, an accountant with super bad luck, to find her. Perhaps he will be lucky, and his bad luck could help to find the unlucky girl.

Eugene Procter is an accident waiting to happen. He is the unluckiest guy in the world. Then there's his bosses daughter who is very accident prone, and gets kidnapped in New Mexico. With the theory "it takes one to find one" Proctor gets teamed up with detective Raymond Campanella to find the heiress and rescue her. Its one mishap after the other as they set off to find her. Like all Martin Short movies get ready to Äºaugh and laugh hard. If there's one person who can pull off a movie like this its Martin Short. This movie is gut busting laughter from beginning to end. This is defiantly one of the greatest comedies to ever live. When you have a comedy with Martin Short you can't lose. And you ain't going to lose when you watch Pure Luck.

Look how pixilated this picture is! This was really funny when I was a kid, and, well, less funny now. But its still pretty good, and you can almost bet, with all the goofy physical comedy that Martin Short does, that someone who hasn't see it will start choking on something they're drinking when he falls down, again, because everyone likes to see people fall down.
