It is the kind of movie that you expect to go into dark places, however, through the journey you hope for the best while expecting the worst. Carey Mulligan deserves the Oscar for her impecable performance.

It felt so good to see something in theaters again. Outside of the obvious that Carey mulligan is so magnetic onscreen this entire film all the actors really bring so much to their roles even in small amounts. The direction is so stylized and so many scenes just hit you right in the face this is a film you will remember and think about for days to come.

After spending the whole movie subverting expectations, it feels like Promising Young Woman tries to have it both ways with a ‘satisfying’ twist, and leaves the audience adrift.

A friend of mine took me to see PYW and I didnt know anything about it. It left me surprised and very entertained. The last time a movie surprised me like this, it was "Gone Girl" but this is much better. Mulligan is amazing. Great movie.

Brilliant depiction of painfully familiar situations in an insanely entertaining, gripping and rattling way. It just hits a nerve with this fresh yet harrowing take on this topic. Definitely mind-blowing in all the best ways.
