The Invisible Ray (1936)

Dr. Janos Rukh discovers a certain type of radium that has almost magical healing properties. But the element has a dangerous side, too, and it has already started affecting Rukh. Consumed by paranoia, he begins to suspect that his wife is having an affair. Wild for revenge, Rukh hatches a deadly plot...using his own poisoned body as a weapon to kill.

Lesser of Lugosi-Karloff pairings, still not bad

Feeling betrayed by the other scientists, Boris Karloff's character vows revenge against them for stealing his incredible discovery. Die, Bela Lugosi, die. Of course, the film's a bit cliched and typical for Universal Pictures (the young couple obviously and without no doubt are the only ones who survive) but it's amusing and wickedly entertaining. This is probably my most favorite among the Boris Karloff/Bela Lugosi films. And there should be no debate about who is the king of B-movies, sci-fi films, and horror films between them; of course, it's Boris Karloff.

Scientist Boris Karloff should know better than to go messing around with newly found radioactive elements in deepest Africa. But, as any mad scientist he just has to make a giant ray gun. Better yet, he develops his own radioactive powers that make his skin glow, with a horrible side effect...death to anyone he touches. I enjoyed this one, with its over-the-top mannerisms and story. Memorable moments.

Made in 1936,A Scientist (Boris Karloff) takes other scientists (including Bela Lugosi) on an expedition to Africa to investigate a Meteor crash landingmhe is exposed to the radiation,however whoever he touches dies,he then goes a little mad plotting revenge on anyone who steals his discovery.Both Karloff and Lugosi are excellent as always,this is an enjoyable Science fiction Thriller,I quote 'Ed Wood' ''I loved Lugosi as Karloff's sidekick.'' ''Karloff??? sidekick???? FUCK YOU!''

Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi teamed up again for Universal in this science fiction film (it is actually not really a horror film, despite it's two leads). Karloff plays a scientist who has invented a heat ray (and some kind of looking back in time device), who travels to Africa to search for something he had seen crash on Earth eons ago in his little past device. But while in Africa he starts to glow due to exposure to radium...and goes mad as a result. It is a fairly solid science fiction movie of its time, with a few elements of horror, as is to be expected of Universal in this time period. Decent, but not terrific.
