Anglo-Germanic version of the boy-room favourite since 1937. Some scenes are actually progressing straight from comic strips in to real movie scenes. Haven't read the books in 30 years or so, I was surprised to be familar with much of the on-goings, but I of course don't remember Valiant being so Xena-like. Pretty confusing here and there and with the lack of an believble villain, it's still pretty fun to meet Valiant again. But you do miiss the other knights of the round table and their stubborn wisdom

I found it to a bit quirky but highly entertained by the main characters even if they got tossed a bit of camp. Some characters such as Warwick Davis' seemed completely tossed in. But Stephen Moyer was top notch in title role.

A bit messy, feels rushed, some references possibly slaughtered during editing, some annoying plot holes, Lumley and her mirror fx are dreadful, the '80s dominatrix viking' superfluous, but overall an entertaining movie. I grew up on a lot cheesier fantasy fare than this. Peeved at a.o.t. there being basically NO blood on any of the swords despite people being run through left and right; and the finale kiss being shown from such a distance is disappointing and prude when it obviously was quite alright to flash Katie's "southern cheeks" in the harem... But but, Heigl IS lovely and spunky and Vampire Bill... eh, I mean Moyer suits the part of Valiant.

To long since I saw it.. don't really remember it.. that usually means it wasn't that god but... for miss Heigl I could give it another try..
