Next, images of small circles emerge then of the Sun. Images of our Earth appear, woods, a part of a body, a nude woman perhaps giving birth. Imagery evokes movement across time. This whole "movie" is what happens in "found footage" fake documentaries when the camera falls to the ground while it's still recording and all you get is a glimpse of something and then the camera goes blank. That's the whole 9 minutes of the prelude.

The prologue itself if kind of dull but the 5 parts included in The Criterion Collection is a psychedelic mind fuck waiting to eat you alive. Turn off the lights and watch the screen closely. You might die. Brakhage is awesome.
