This is one of the moview I own & take out to watch every so often. Richard Gere CAN act. Just watch.

An indistinctive drama, but it has a little bit directing (Lumet), and a little bit acting (Washington, Hackman).

I really enjoyed this movie. Excellent actors and a great storyline. That's what I look for in a movie :)

Lumet is trying hard to do to the world of political campaign organizers what his "Network" did to television news. It exudes the same authenticity and research but lacks the coalescence provided by a stellar plot.

Fine acting but a dull film. Power should have been a lot better than it was. Perhaps it is a bit dated but the film just never grabbed my attention.
