Polyester (1981)

Blessed with a keen sense of smell and cursed with a philandering pornographer husband, a parasitic mother, and a pair of delinquent children, the long-suffering Francine Fishpaw turns to the bottle as her life falls apart -- until deliverance appears in the form of a hunk named Todd Tomorrow. Originally screened with "Odorama" scratch and sniff cards so the audience could (at their own risk) smell along with the film.

EXTRAORDINAIRE, surtout quand on l'écoute en Odorama

Classic John Waters. Bad in all the right ways.

I wish I could meet the characters of this movie in real life. A slutty sister, a brother with a foot stomping fetish, a self serving dad who owns a porno theater, and a 300 pound, alcoholic "mother" that just wants a normal family.

John Waters is amazing. Smell-o-vision was the greatest invention cinema has ever known. Tab Hunter is amazingly evil and Divine is just that. Edith Massey's acting is much improved from Pink Flamingos as well.

my favorite john waters movie, ever, it's purely for camp aficionados. francine fishpaw is divine's best character ever; i love cuddles; and odorama has to be the greatest creation of all cinematic history. waters movies are an acquired taste and if you're not into kitsch or blatant indecency, you'd probably be better off watch "the notebook" or something.
