This is a movie I could watch anytime. It makes you laugh. It makes you emotionally invested in the outcome. Patrik 1.5 is that rare movie that you turn off at the end and jut sit there and relish in the movie. It is the little moments that make this movie great. Seeing his mom care for him, going to sleep for the first time, running, just the little touches that make it real.

Delightful Swedish movie which mercifully avoids gay rom-com territory, writer-director Lemhagen sets this up as a comedy, playing on the joyful personalities and humorous encounters while slowly drawing out the story's serious themes.

In this Swedish comedy, a gay couple is excited to adopt a baby, who is listed as being 1.5 years old. But when their new child arrives, they realize that there was a typo, and their new son is 15. To make matters worse, he hates gay people, and he isn't the world's best behaved teen.
