I really enjoyed the way Solondz had fun with this one. He, of course, never loses the dark moments and the freaks and perverts, but the touch is much lighter here. Anyone living in contemporary culture, surrounded by absurdity, can either laugh, cry, or laugh through the tears, and I think this film, which is essentially about the ways we cope, is the best reflection of that. Solondz is the master of making you laugh at the taboo, but if you can't find humour in the horrifying, you're probably not going to like this one.

I love this move. I think this shows the peak of everything Todd's been trying to do. A brilliant film and you go to love the revolving door of actors for the main lead.

Delicious and odd, yet again Solondz gets wrong so exceedingly right.

Surprisingly good movie. Loved the way he used different actresses to protray the fact it could be any girl. Funny and disturbing in some parts.
