Palindromes is yet another Todd Solontz film (other than Welcome to the Dollhouse of course) that has yet done me no wrong. Its unconventional method of storytelling is surprising & I'm glad this film touched up on a lot of unspoken issues. This film is truly a refreshment from anything I've seen lately.

This movie was really good. Th movie follows the story of a girl while changing out the actor who plays her. Movie lives up to the title; allowing the viewer to experience the philosophy that the human experience is universal. Thoroughly enjoyable. A must see.

Not Solondz's best, but still great Cinema of Discomfort

I really enjoyed the way Solondz had fun with this one. He, of course, never loses the dark moments and the freaks and perverts, but the touch is much lighter here. Anyone living in contemporary culture, surrounded by absurdity, can either laugh, cry, or laugh through the tears, and I think this film, which is essentially about the ways we cope, is the best reflection of that. Solondz is the master of making you laugh at the taboo, but if you can't find humour in the horrifying, you're probably not going to like this one.
