Being that this movie is a bit on the adult only side this movie is a brilliant portrayal of the love quadrangle between two couples. Mike Nichols couldnt have directed this twisted yet realistic movie. With a well directed cast of Natalie Portman, Jude Law, Julia Roberts and Clive Owen just added more to the movie. A great, raw and provocative drama. Makes you think how these love webs really work. Jude Law in my opinion couldn't have done a better job in portraying the character of what could be the perfect stranger. A very direct and brutaly sincere movie.

Not for everyone. However, this was one of Nichols' best films in years. The man who made "The Graduate" and "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf" returns with a scathing dark comedy/bleak relationship drama with some rather explicit dialogue. A film by grownups for grownups. A tough but very worthy film.

Super clever script; flawless actors... There's nothing NOT to love about this play brought to the big screen. Even the soundtrack -Damien Rice's "The Blower's Daughter"- is perfect. Natalie Portman was truly outstanding and first gained my respect as an actress in this movie. I've watched it about three to five times now and can't wait to see it again!!
