A unique genre blend into the occult, working a feat on a limited budget.

The moral of this story? If you have unprotected sex, you spawn demons and turn into a witch! Pretty accurate imo.

Decent Irish occult horror; uneven but not fatally so. The pacing is very slow, but the story isn't nearly as "muddied" as some critics charge. In fact, it's pretty straight-forward. Good acting and production values and a nice juxtaposition of old Gaelic bloody ritual in a modern, grimy urban setting. It won't blow anyone away with brilliance or novelty, but it's a worthwhile bit of entertainment with a fair twist ending.

even if Outcast is ultimately a monster movie, it is also a very human story of dysfunction, betrayal and abandonment in which the sins of each generation are passed on to the next.

There are brains behind the making of this, but it's messy and depressing and the ending is stupid.
