Argento's take on horror stalkers is disturbing in many ways. In many ways the Argento flicks seem to be precursors for the SAW flicks.

Excellent murders and a decent soundtrack take precedence over the plot in this Giallo film from Dario Argento. One thing I really enjoyed about this one was that the killer not only wears the required black gloves, but he also wears gloves OVER them at some point!

All at once this is one of Argento's most brutally sadistic and hauntingly beautiful films. His themes of voyeurism are daring and intrusive, and he accompanies the threats of his killer with an equally cruel camera, poking and tearing at places his audience shouldn't feel welcome in. Cristina Masillach is wonderful as Betty, the performer and audience to the horrific murders, and it is also nice to see a bit role for Argento favorite Daria Nicolodi.

The last of Argento's great horror movies(it's all down hill after this). Really well shot and great mood and setting. The ending is the only disappointing part.

I will admit that I like Suspiria more, but this film is a little more fascinating to watch. The pov of the ravens and the way we are held back from knowing anything and the great rock'n'roll music, it's not as creative as his other films, but the shots are some of the best he has done.
