absolutely loved this movie. seriously, if you're lacking canadian pride, look no further than this movie to almost have you climbing your roof to scream "I AM PROUD TO BE CANADIAN!!!" the scenery in this film is breathtaking, and the story of ben, newly diagnosed with terminal cancer, on his trip from toronto to vancouver is endearing and heartfelt, along with the people he interacts with along the way. joshua jackson was fabulous in this and i loved gordon downie's small scene as well. i recommend this film highly.

I've never seen 'into the wild', but 'One Week' is definitively worth to see. Not because of the beautiful sightseeing (if it's really beautiful though) at all, but the emotional ups and downs of Ben.

A well played out love letter to Canada. The only thing I felt they could have left out was the voice over. Other then that, I liked it a lot.

I saw this film on the opening night of the Kingston Canadian Film Festival on Feb. 26th and it was superb! I gave it a standing ovation as it really made me feel (I laughed & cried) and think without leaving me in despair despite its subject matter and an ending left open to interpretation. The director, producer and editor of this film were also on hand for a Q&A and they admitted that it is a love letter to Canada as it was filmed during Joshua Jackson's motorcycle trip from Toronto to Tofino and Joshua even did his own riding. The Canadian scenery caught on film confirms that this is one of the most beautiful countries in the world. Jackson's performance was excellent, the soundtrack was first rate and there are a couple of cool cameos by Gord Downie and Emm Gryner that are memorable. It will be a real shame if this film doesn't get a much wider release because it could turn out to be one of the most definitive Canadian films ever made. Don't miss it!

i didn't know that it was canadian until i recognized the scenes in the beginning! LOL - i tend to avoid canadian made movies, but it was surprisingly a great movie! quite sad, especially with the music. it makes you think about what life's all about and the decisions that ppls make and how short life is with a bit of funny lines and references too close to home. joshua jackson portrayed it well!
