Nothing can give shape or closure to Cave—and that's OK. Watching him continue his ongoing search for existential answers is comfort enough.

One of the most difficult to review films I have seen for a long time. At it's core this is a film about grief, and how an artist processes and expresses the pain that comes with that. From the overwhelming sorrow of the day-to-day waves of despair to the joy that comes from small moments of happiness, this is a intimate and irritating film. Offering rare glimpses into the machinations of the songwriting and recording process, the deep friendship and intimacy between Cave and Ellis, and the way in which parents try to cope with the death of a child. Beautifully shot and full of the attraction and repulsion of Cave.

There are scenes where the camera in silently sweeping through the vacant spaces in the studio in such a way that you can't help by t be transfixed by the picture. The movie is chilling and raw, Cave is clearly recovering.

One More Time with Feeling is hauntingly deep with specks of lightheartedness sprinkled in. The film is extremely respectful to Nick, Susie, and Earl while making you feel the complexity of their pain without going into the gory details. The songs revealed are nothing short of amazing and share the sense of trauma while the film accurately portrays visual stimulation to rival the songs leaving you touched by someone else's life changing event. The film is a beautiful account of a man and his family stuck in time.

The most remarkable thing about Dominik’s film is that we are not only humble witnesses to such personal grief, but that we are seeing it actively articulated by such a fascinating mind.
