I just want to say this if anyone else is leaving a review for this film. How the hell can you compare Once Were warriors and The Pursuit Of Happyness. This movie is amazing and disturbing at the same time. An absolute must for everyone. Simple story with some crazy simple acting and amazing acting.

Want to scare your white friends into not angering a polynesian? This movie is filled with violence that many would like to deny but we all know exists. You can't walk away from this laughing, but the message can be spread across all ethnic groups.

Film that brought the struggle of the Maori people to the mainstream consciousness. It's too bad more people don't know about it. Very hard to watch at times, but well worth it.
