what a ride this movie takes you on!! incredible acting and great but hard to watch story. incredible!! not for everyone to watch.

I took a hit emotionally after seeing this movie. It's the type of movie you can only watch every few years or so. No matter how many times I see it, it gets to me.

Being a New Nealander, sections of this film really rang true. Especially the parts relating to the Maori culture. I find the acting spot on.

My first 5 star rating. This film is incredible in its power, you watch it once and you never forget it. Whether Kiwis like it or not, it has single handedly blown apart many of the tranquil NZ stereotypes and had a lasting effect on how the outside world views its people. A great example of the power of good cinema. Since first watching this I've never looked at eggs the same way.
