Okja is a terrific film with the emotional edge, humor, and intesity that Bong Joon Ho brings to his films.

Okja is like someone wrote a draft of a family movie with an R-rating as a joke, but then was allowed to make it. Bong Joon-ho (the director of the incredible Snowpiercer) somehow makes the story of a superpig destined to become bacon and her human friend exciting, funny, heartbreaking, and uplifiting all at the same time. Tilda Swinton and Paul Dano are, as always, incredible, and Jake Gyllenhall gives a delightfully madcap performance. It's an odd flick, but honestly, it's absolutely worth a watch. Just don't eat chicken (or any other meat) while watching it, unless you want to feel slightly guilty.

I cried several times throughout the movie. it highlights the issues of meat industry today, it be hidden anymore.
