Just a very, very HUMANE film about unfortunate restrictions that still exist in Iran... Another interesting window into the laws of the land is also provided by an interview on the director on the DVD.

Extremely well done, with great insight into the plight of women in Iranian society. Each character is unique, and the dynamic between the guards and the women is very entertaining. The bathroom scene was my favourite!

Jafar Panahi of Iran is one of his country's great filmmakers, and Offside is his best movie to date.

A wonderful look at the issue of women's place in Iran without simply taking sides and pointing fingers. Through it's focus on the young women and the soldiers involved and its realistic style, Offside is effective, entertaining, and touching.

Happiness triumphs! This is an interesting view on an everyday routine about people who live their life by some rules they themselves don't understand but do them anyway for the sake of government. This movie puts your in the shoes of those females who constantly struggle for their right to live free, even if it requires some fighting back.
