Missy McCloud is the most beautiful girl in school and Johnny Dingle has been in love with her for years. One night, as Johnny tries to stop an armed robbery and save Missy from danger, he's killed, but resurrected as a zombie not long after. A very bizzare little flick. Loved it when I was younger, still loving it today. Johnny dies and then comes back, for love. He is greeted with dadaistic interest and the movie becomes some kind of satire on racial tension. Philip Seymour Hoffman plays a part as a retarded fellow and Matthew McConaughey is a jock.

I remember watching this movie back in the day. Of the time I liked it but when I watch it today I see how poorly it is. but I love how he takes missy to the prom! I love that song does anyone know that song?

'My Boyfriend's Back' is an odd yet fun zombie comedy, with our lead character Johnny coming back from the dead and finally wins the heart of the most beautiful girl in school, whom he's been in love for years. I find it romantic as a moment when Missy sticks to her new boyfriend despite bullies' taunts, small-town prejudice, and Johnny's recent craving for human flesh. And yes, it's hilarious. Directed by Bob Balaban and starring the great performances of Andrew Lowery, Austin Pendleton, and Traci Lind.
