Dick Powell may not be the most discussed Philip Marlowe on screen, but he got the role spot on in this one, while even managing to get cute.

Possibly my first introduction to the work of Dick Powell, but I don't think it's likely to be the last - I really enjoyed him as Marlowe and look forward to tracking down other Film Noir material that he has out there. Recommended.

Great noir with some fun dialogue. Must see for fans of the genre.

My favorite part was the dream/drugged sequence, but that's not to say the rest was lackluster.
