Another nice story about "childhood love". But not very strong though it was very interesting for me to catch ideas about Malay culture.

It's easy for non-Asian people to find this award-worthy but if I dare pretend to have an informed holistic opinion, Mukhsin is more indulgent than honest. Yasmin keeps paintin them pretty but not always believable. Well, at least she's throwin somethin back at their faces!

Watchable for the snapshot of idyllic Kampung life, but is but far from being an excellent movie due to the relatively weak plot.

damn i really like this movie! the best thing that i really love diz movie is because it's MALAYSIAN MADE!! although this movie is about children how they met their 1st love n it sounds funny, but 1 thing that i really like about this movie, the director visualize sincerely.. very sincerely! u can really feel what it's all about. that is very similar to us in our childhood when we grow up. the cinematography really makes me impressed. the view of the pure malay village very nice. i thing the team of this movie esp yasmin ahmad deserve to win grand prize of 57th Berlin film festival

Although lack of actions, but Yasmin Ahmad's movies were heart-touching especially Muhsin. Too bad, she died in 2009 due to a stroke, so I gonna miss her movies!
