The most important characteristic of "Mrs. Ratcliffe's Revolution" is its soul. Yes, yes, we all have seen similar films before but this is still a special one - hilarious, moving, realistic, a cry for freedom.

An enjoyable film with many laugh out loud moments. The Stasi characters were a little cartoonish and unrealistic, but overall this was a much better film than I expected.

I really enjoyed this film. Although she's a comic actress normally, it is largely a dramatic film, with comments on freedom so important in the world we live in today. All the characters were well drawn and the ending uplifting. I recommend it, though not if you go to the cinema to see special effects. Ms. Tate's performance in this really gives me high hopes for her up-coming stint on Doctor Who.
