This is the only sci-fi film EVER made , dealing with the hypothesis of discovering on the lunar surface, human made structures originating from a long lost high-tech antediluvian civilization the likes of Lemuria or Atlantis, and , as far as i know, this is by far, the only film , thanks to its foolish scenario, that managed so cunningly to discredit the whole theory whatsoever!

Ok. The movie was beyond awful (I actually had to get it bootleg because it so bad and hard to get)...anyway, why does this deserve 3 stars? Let me tell you: Bruce Campbell delivers one of the most hilarious death scenes I have ever seen. He tells the other astronoaut while struggling for breath: "Just remember this one thing. Don't let the machines give you any shit. Dddooo...."

Not great. Bad acting from Bruce Campbell makes it worth a watch.

Brr... I still get the shivers when I think back to a creepy night in front of the TV when I was still little. Must've been early Nineties or something. Alright, it doesn't feature great actors, although Campbell and Koenig surely are cult figures. What's still able to give me the creeps is the aliens and the effects. That and the scenes where those mechanical aliens attack the astronauts on the planet surface and the one where Campbell floats by the zillions of dormant alien pods on that shipwrecked spaceship near the Moon. Underrated. I somehow need to see it again... it's been some time.

A nice piece of low-budget sci-fi crap from the eighties, starring that master actor of low-budget, sci-fi crap...Bruce Campbell. A small robotic device from outer space is brought back to earth, and proceeds to morph into a giant cyborg kiling machine using test-tubes and flappy bits of skin. The object is determined to have arrived from the moon, and so a team of astronauts are sent to investigate. They discover the obligitory ancient citadel infested with alien killing machines, and the plot weaves the familiar path towards a 'we all saw that coming ending. Camp acting, bad dialougue and dated special effects somehow fail to completely ruin this movie. It keeps one hand precariously gripped around cult-movie status.

Highly recommended for you
