Moonfall is a sympathetic catastrophe film, and as science fiction it is extremely creative in its creation of the world and mythology, but it suffers from extensive inconsistencies and considerable problems that make the experience of watching it not so pleasurable.

No Spoilers :) Long story short, this was an enjoyable popcorn movie, like other Roland Emmerich movies. If you don't expect the more serious tone of the Martian and watch the movie for what it is you won't be disappointed.

It was entertaining to watch at first, even though the plot got silly at points, but the second half of it was just too silly. Like people slam Armageddon which in a way is similar movie, but for me Armageddon is 2x better than this.

I had fun. Will it get awards? No. Will you think about it the day after? No. But it’s a solid, enjoyable, yet mindless popcorn flic. Let’s face it, any movie that resurrects the Space Shuttle AND gives us graffiti on it, out-launching a giant tidal wave has GOT to have a place in any 80s and 90s heart! So: Big screen. Sound to max. Enjoy the ride.
