This is for sure the best movie of all time. What a masterpiece this was. This movie should have won best picture in the Oscars, Sam Worthington should have been nominated and should have won best actor, Zoe Saldana should have been nominated and should have won best supporting actress, and Stephen Lang should have been nominated and should have won best supporting actor. Everything about this movie was so amazing in every way. This film could not have been any better. It has a great journey for you to experience and enjoy. This is my all time favorite. The second half of the movie blew me away so much, that's what definitely made me love this movie so much. Avatar is a movie that everyone should watch and enjoy. It's the most magical adventure anyone would ask for.

Wohoo! Just re-saw this in my home cinema and even though the 3D didn't work, it was a hell of a ride. Haven't seen Avatar since it was shown in cinemas, but this film reminds me of what film can be, a way of being almost physically moved to another world (no pun intended) for a few hours, to forget everything around you and just immerse yourself in a story that totally engulfs you. OK, so my intellect can't help but kick in now and then to remind me of the atrocities against native people around the world that this plot line is an allegory of, that there are obvious precedents in stories in both film and literature that Cameron has accessed and so on, but that mostly stays in the back of my mind while I simply enjoy the ride. Oh, and it's got Sigourney Weaver, the most bad-ass sci-fi hero of all time. What's not to like.

James Cameron is the anti-Michael Bay (and anti-George Lucas, for that matter) as he clearly understands the value and importance of ensuring that a movie is not just visually stunning in its action and effects, but it should also be wrapped around a meaningful story about which the audience can care. While the story is simple and predictable, it's topical and timely. The movie never stops and shows what a true visionary can do to a film. Jaw-dropping, breathtaking. Avatar is magical.
