"People of Parador, I love you. I love to love you. I love your mountains... and your, heh heh, your valleys. I want to swim in your rivers. I love you." Moon Over Parador is one of my favorite movies of all time. Cold war politics, South American containment, super-fascism, guerrilla war, the CIA, Sammy Davis Jr, and a young actor clash in this comedy of dictatorial proportions.

Did I actually sit through all of this? I think so... Kinda like "Dave". Both have their moments, but neither is very good.

I really enjoyed this movie. It's a dopey comedy, but origional. Fun fact: when both the President and Jack are in the same scene, the President is played by Dreyfuss' brother.

I loved this movie when I first saw it. The storyline today seems dated but back then, revolutionary. I would really like to see it again sometime.

A film for people who love acting. Julie and Dreyfuss have enormous fun. The politically-conscious subplot feels weird, but genuine. It's a mildly funny, very energetic film.
